ABOUT US

Fat Pomelo lands in Balgowlah - and this time, it's dressed up a little.

From Songpol and Lyn Manoonpong, the team behind Narrabeen's beloved Fat Pomelo and Paddington's Chubby Cheeks, comes a second home for big South East Asian flavours, now in a more refined setting on the plaza level of Balgowlah Village. The kitchen is led by chef James Sombutsomboon, whose cooking brings the same bold, soulful hits Fat Pomelo is known for - layered, generous and built to be shared.

The space, designed by Giant Design, is an elevated take on the Fat Pomelo world: still warm, still playful, but with a grown-up polish. Spill out onto the beautiful outdoor terrace for long lunches and golden-hour dinners, or settle into the dining room when you want to linger.

The name says it all. The pomelo - a symbol of prosperity and good fortune in Asian culture - is abundant, vibrant and made to be shared around a full table. Friends catching up, a family feast, a dinner that turns into a long night: Fat Pomelo Balgowlah brings vibrant Asian flavours and genuine, from-the-heart hospitality.

Pull up a seat - the table's always full.
